Security and Fraud Awareness

At Workforce Recruiter, your privacy and security are our top priorities. Unfortunately, bad actors sometimes impersonate recruitment firms in an attempt to steal your personal information. We want to ensure you have the tools to identify legitimate communication and stay safe during your job search.

How to Verify Official Communication From Us

All official email correspondence from our team will come from an email address ending in one of our verified domains:

  • @workforcerecruiter.com (Safe Email – Our Domain)
  • @linenrecruiter.com (Safe Email – Our Domain)
  • @millworkrecruiter.com (Safe Email – Our Domain)
  • @electricianrecruiter.com (Safe Email – Our Domain)

Red Flag: If you receive an email from a public domain (e.g., @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @outlook.com) or a misspelled version of our domain, it is not from us.

All official LinkedIn correspondence will come from Matt Smith, using the profile at this link.

Common Recruitment Scams

Be on the lookout for the following tactics used by scammers:

  • Sensitive Data Requests: Never provide your Social Security Number, banking details, or copies of your ID via email or text before a formal, secure onboarding process.
  • Requesting Payment: We will never ask a candidate for money, “home office equipment” fees, or application processing payments.
  • Vague Job Descriptions: Be cautious of “work from home” offers that seem too good to be true or lack specific details about the role.
  • Instant Offers: Legitimate hiring processes involve interviews and background checks. Beware of “job offers” extended via text or chat without a formal meeting.

What to Do If You Suspect a Scam

If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from Workforce Recruiter:

  1. Do Not Click: Avoid clicking links or downloading attachments.

  2. Report It: Mark the email as “Phishing” or “Spam” in your email client.

  3. Verify with Us: If you are unsure, contact us directly at info@workforcerecruiter.com to verify the identity of the recruiter.
